Companies welcome at 4th China International Import Expo

The fourth China International Import Expo is scheduled to be held in Shanghai from Nov 5 to 10, according to the Ministry of Commerce.

Providing an international businesses platform to showcase products and share opportunities in the Chinese markets, the business exhibition of this year's CIIE consists of six exhibition areas, the same as last year.

These areas include Intelligent Industry and Information Technology, Consumer Goods, Food and Agricultural Products, Medical Equipment and Healthcare Products, Automobiles and Trade in Services.

The CIIE's official website has started to accept registration for the fourth CIIE, and the list of the first batch of 160 exhibitors has been released.

These 160 participating companies are all Fortune 500 companies and industrial leaders, including L'Oreal, CBRE, Honda, Lesaffre and Deloitte. More international companies are welcome to join the fourth CIIE as China opens its door wider for higher quality development.

Successfully holding the CIIE, along with the China Import and Export Fair and China International Fair for Trade in Services, has been written into the country's 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) and the country's 2035 long-term development goals.

China will lower import tariffs and government-imposed costs, import more high-quality consumer goods, advanced technology, important equipment, energy and resources, and diversify the sources of imports, according to the plan.
